Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH) has launched a new Mobile Health Center at De Anza College, expanding healthcare access to students and residents across the West Valley region. The center officially began operations on May 6, 2026, and will be available on campus every Wednesday.
โI hope that this is just the start,โ said County of Santa Clara District 5 Supervisor Margaret Abe-Koga. โThis pilot program opens up healthcare access to Cupertino, Los Altos, Saratoga, West San Jose and this side of the county.โ
The initiative aims to improve access to convenient, community-based healthcare services for areas that have historically lacked nearby public clinics.

โAs a former De Anza College student and Trustee for Foothill-De Anza Community College District who personally struggled to access health services, I am so excited to celebrate expanded access to health care for our local students and residents,โ said California State Assemblymember Patrick Ahrens.
The Mobile Health Center offers walk-in medical services for adults aged 18 and older with no appointment required. Services include:
โข Treatment for minor illnesses and injuries
โข Family planning and physical exams
โข Health screenings and adult vaccinations
โAs a public healthcare provider, we are focused on ensuring that residents across Santa Clara County can access high-quality care that is convenient, equitable, and community centered,โ said County of Santa Clara Chief Operating Officer Greta Hansen.

โThe pilot program will be evaluated throughout the first year to determine the communityโs long-term needs,โ said Santa Clara Valley Healthcare Chief Executive Officer Paul E. Lorenz.
SCVH stated that it accepts all insurance plans except Kaiser and remains committed to supporting uninsured patients to ensure access to care regardless of ability to pay.
โProviding proper healthcare to students is just as important as delivering a quality education,โ said Foothill-De Anza Community College District Vice Chancellor Dr. Gohar Momjian.
