Saudi Arabiaโ€™s Ministry of Health has intensified inspections of expatriate and food worker screening centers to strengthen regulatory compliance and safeguard public health in line with Vision 2030.

Saudi Arabiaโ€™s Ministry of Health has launched a series of inspection campaigns targeting expatriate and food worker screening centers, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen health oversight, protect public health, and ensure compliance with national health regulations. The initiative is aligned with the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030 and focuses on enhancing the safety and accuracy of medical procedures, as well as reinforcing prevention and preparedness against health risks.

The Ministry underscored the need for full compliance by healthcare facilities, including the mandatory reporting of infectious diseases through approved systems and the prohibition of issuing health certificates without conducting proper medical examinations. Facilities are also required to ensure that services are delivered by licensed healthcare professionals, maintain adequate numbers of qualified staff, secure all necessary regulatory approvals, and use authorised medical equipment and supplies. In addition, inspection teams are assessing whether facilities meet required infrastructure and operational standards.

Through these inspections, the Ministry aims to improve discipline and regulatory compliance, safeguard the health of citizens and residents, and prevent violations that could compromise the quality and safety of healthcare services. The campaigns also seek to verify adherence to key health regulations, including the Law on the Practice of Health Professions, the Private Health Institutions Law, and their respective executive regulations.

The Ministry has urged the public to report any health-related violations via the Unified Contact Center at 937, reinforcing community participation in protecting public health.
