The Ministry has advised consumers who purchased the affected batches to return the products to points of sale or dispose of them immediately to protect children’s health and safety. The alert follows an official notification from Nestlé regarding the suspected contamination involving several product batches.
Upon receiving the notification, the Ministry, through its Food Safety Department, implemented urgent precautionary measures, including the immediate withdrawal of all related and potentially affected products from the market. Coordination was carried out with retail outlets to ensure recall procedures were executed without delay. The products were seized pending completion of required regulatory actions, while inspection teams launched intensive market surveillance to confirm the complete removal of the affected items.
In parallel, the Food Safety Department coordinated with the Pharmacy and Drug Control Department to verify that pharmacies are free of the suspected products. Random samples from the same brand were also collected for laboratory testing to confirm product safety.
