North Metropolitan Health Service announced that four staff members were recognised at the 2026 WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards for their outstanding contributions across healthcare services.
The award winners included:
Lifetime Achievement Honour Award – Graeme Boardley, Women and Newborn Health Service, Nursing and Midwifery Director
Excellence in Education Award – Fiona Kane, Women and Newborn Health Service, Midwife Educator
Excellence in Registered Nursing Award – Mary Lynch, Public Health and Clinical Excellence, Donation Specialist Coordinator
Excellence in Research Award – Professor Mary Steen OBE, Women and Newborn Health Service (Curtin University)
