The Gulf Health Council has launched a comprehensive guide under its “Choose Healthy” campaign to encourage healthier eating habits and increased physical activity across GCC countries. Running from 28 June to 11 July, the campaign promotes practical, sustainable lifestyle changes through simple daily actions.

The guide offers easy-to-follow recommendations on planning balanced meals, choosing nutritious foods, controlling portion sizes, and making healthier decisions in everyday environments. It emphasizes that small, consistent changes can have a lasting impact on overall health.

To promote physical activity, the Council recommends adults complete at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week, such as brisk walking. It also encourages incorporating movement into daily routines by using stairs, walking in parks or shopping malls, and engaging in family-friendly activities.

The guide highlights the role of digital health tools, noting that wearable devices and mobile applications can help improve physical activity, nutrition, and weight management. It also emphasizes creating supportive environments that make healthy choices easier, as many food decisions are influenced by habits and surroundings.
