Dubai, UAE: The Emirates Oncology Society (EOS) has honored MSD GCC, a prominent biopharmaceutical company, with the esteemed ‘Medical Education Partner of the Year’ Award. This recognition reflects MSD’s commitment to advancing healthcare through the creation of innovative and comprehensive educational programs.

His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mabarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, graced the award ceremony held during the fourth annual Emirates Oncology Society conference from September 22nd to 23rd.

Commenting on the achievement, Professor Humaid Al Shamsi, President of the Emirates Oncology Society, said: “We are pleased to honor MSD, acknowledging their steadfast dedication to advancing healthcare through the development of innovative educational and multidisciplinary programs. This recognition underscores MSD’s dedication to improving healthcare standards and outcomes, ultimately benefiting patients and the medical community. We look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts to further advance various aspects of the healthcare industry”.

Moreover, MSD actively improves the healthcare industry and elevates patient care through initiatives like ‘Angels.’ These programs aim to empower nurses with skills to efficiently manage immune-related adverse events. The impactful ‘UpToDate’ program supports healthcare professionals by providing evidence-based information on various medical topics, enhancing their ability to deliver high-quality patient care.

Another important initiative, “Link MdT,” strengthens Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) practices by promoting connections between lung cancer MDTs in the Gulf region and established MDTs in other countries. This collaboration facilitates knowledge exchange, contributing to improved patient care and expertise in lung cancer management.

MSD’s ‘Networks of Immuno-oncology’ program establishes connections and networks among oncologists, providing the latest updates on cancer immunotherapy. This initiative enables oncologists to share clinical experiences and best practices, advancing the effective application of immunotherapy and improving patient outcomes.
