Leica Biosystems has expanded the availability of its Aperio GT Elite digital scanner across Europe Middle East and Africa following its successful launch in the United States. The high throughput system is designed to help laboratories accelerate digital pathology adoption through faster scanning and integrated AI powered quality control.

The Aperio GT Elite scanner can process up to 103 slides per hour and includes SmartScan technology which automatically applies optimal scan settings. When combined with Aperio iQC software the system can detect common imaging issues during scanning helping laboratories improve efficiency and reduce the need for rescans.
