Officials in besieged Gaza have issued an urgent appeal to the international community. This appeal, reported by Al Jazeera, aims to address the severe staff shortage caused by ongoing attacks by Israel. The appeal specifically calls for the dispatch of volunteer health workers to the region. The situation remains critical as Gaza copes with staff shortages and mounting challenges.

Officials at Shifa Hospital, the largest medical facility in Gaza, have reported that staff are barely able to cope with the immense demands placed on them.

Director Mohammed Abu Salmiya expressed, “Our medical teams have been severely exhausted and consumed due to the huge number of victims and injuries and the direct targeting of medical staff and their families. These brave healthcare crews have either been killed or displaced.”
