Mubadala Bio has launched the UAE’s first locally manufactured hemodialysis concentrate solutions through its Abu Dhabi-based subsidiary, Wellpharma, marking a significant milestone in the country’s pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
The launch includes eight hospital-grade hemodialysis solutions designed for patients with kidney failure, supporting dialysis procedures by helping remove waste products and maintain electrolyte balance. Local production is expected to strengthen the supply of essential therapies for hospitals and dialysis centres across the UAE.

Mubadala Bio said the initiative supports the UAE’s ambitions to expand life sciences manufacturing, improve healthcare resilience, and enhance access to critical medical products. The announcement comes as chronic kidney disease continues to rise globally, driven largely by increasing rates of diabetes, hypertension, and obesity.
