Under the agreement, the companies will establish a secure data platform to manage and utilize medical data from healthcare systems based on individual consent. The platform will also integrate personal health data controlled by users to support the development of AI-powered health partner applications tailored to individual needs.
The healthcare infrastructure and related applications will be built within Japan-based data centers, creating a secure and integrated system that supports the full patient journey, from daily health management and medical consultations to treatment and follow-up care.
Through the alliance, the companies also aim to reduce healthcare inefficiencies caused by duplicate testing, repeated prescriptions, interrupted treatment, and preventable disease progression. The initiative is expected to contribute to controlling future healthcare cost increases estimated at approximately 5 trillion yen while supporting sustainable healthcare in Japan.
