USFโs CAMLS has installed GE HealthCareโs Allia Moveo system, becoming the first in Florida and third globally to adopt the advanced image-guided therapy technology for clinical training and innovation.
February 2026- The University of South Floridaโs Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation, part of the Tampa Medical & Research District, has become the first institution in Florida and the third globally to install GE HealthCareโs Allia Moveo, a next-generation image-guided therapy system. The technology is designed to enhance mobility, streamline clinical workflows, and improve imaging quality for minimally invasive procedures.
The installation marks a significant milestone in the long-standing collaboration between Tampa General Hospital, USF Health, and GE HealthCare, aimed at advancing clinical innovation, healthcare education, and patient outcomes both regionally and nationally.
CAMLS, recognised as one of the worldโs largest freestanding simulation centres dedicated solely to healthcare training, will also become the first simulation facility worldwide to incorporate Allia Moveo into its advanced education and simulation programmes. The integration will allow students, faculty, and practicing clinicians to train using cutting-edge hybrid operating room technology typically available only in leading medical institutions.
โGaining access to the latest surgical imaging and guidance technologies further ensures that innovation in education keeps pace with innovation in care,โ said Dr. Haru Okuda, executive director of CAMLS and associate vice president of Interprofessional Education and Practice with USF Health*.
