Cairo, Egypt/Abu Dhabi, UAE:ย Burjeel Holdings and Response Plus Holding (RPM) with support from Egyptโ€™sย Cleopatra Hospitalsย Group are collaborating to offer emergency and complex medical support to severely injured children transferred from Gaza. Entities are in talks with relevant authorities and the operations will commence upon obtaining approvals. Efforts are also underway by RPM to establish a field hospital, with up to 60 beds, at the Rafah border crossing to offer onsite emergency care, damage control procedures, and definitive treatments for pediatric patients.

Burjeel Holdings and RPM will facilitate the transportation of the children requiring secondary and tertiary care to hospitals in Cairo and Abu Dhabi, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. Cairo will receive patients with advanced medical needs, while Abu Dhabiโ€™s Burjeel Medical City, a leading private quaternary care hospital, will admit those requiring high-end care for complex conditions. The hospital, under Burjeel Holdings, boasts over 400 beds. Furthermore, counseling services will be offered to support the mental health of children and their families during this challenging time.

Nationsโ€™ Leading Hospitals

Medical experts have convened a specialized joint action committee to spearhead and fast-track the project. Burjeel Holdings, one of the largest healthcare providers in the MENA region, and RPM, the UAEโ€™s largest onsite healthcare and emergency medical services provider, have successfully collaborated with various governments to execute life-saving evacuation and medical missions in Yemen, Turkey, Syria, and provide emergency support to victims ofย crises and calamities.

Egyptโ€™s leading private healthcare provider, Cleopatra Hospitalโ€™s pediatric department, offers immediate and advanced care to children in Greater Cairo. Meanwhile, Burjeel Medical City, equipped with pediatric subspecialties, can address severe injuries and support long-term recovery and rehabilitation.

This initiative is an exemplary demonstration of the power of partnership in tackling critical healthcare challenges.โ€
