Saudi Arabia’s medical tourism market is projected to grow from $0.20 billion in 2024 to $0.68 billion by 2030, reflecting a strong CAGR of 22.5%, according to ResearchAndMarkets.com. This surge is driven by rising demand for specialized treatments, strategic government backing, and Vision 2030 reforms aimed at positioning the Kingdom as a regional healthcare hub.
International patients are increasingly drawn to Saudi Arabia for advanced care in cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, fertility treatment, and organ transplants. Leading hospitals are gaining global recognition through international partnerships and cutting-edge medical technology.
With its strategic location, Saudi Arabia is easily accessible to patients from the Middle East, Africa, and nearby regions. Accredited hospitals, bundled medical tourism packages, and streamlined visa processes further enhance the patient experience.
Government efforts include active global promotion, participation in trade shows, and investments in innovation, research, and clinical trials, making the Kingdom attractive for those seeking advanced therapies.
While the sector is growing rapidly, challenges such as visa complexity and regional geopolitical concerns remain. However, continued development of wellness programs and rehabilitation facilities signals a broader push toward comprehensive patient care.
