Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia, Fahad Al-Jalajel inspected a number of healthcare facilities at the holy sites operated by the private sector. During the inspection tour, the minister reviewed the readiness of health facilities, the efficiency of healthcare services, and the level of preparedness for the 2026 Hajj season.

The inspection aimed to ensure the provision of integrated, high-quality healthcare services to pilgrims, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program, both derived from Saudi Vision 2030, enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals in good health and peace of mind.

The ministerโ€™s tour included Mina Emergency Hospital 2, whose capacity was increased by 100 percent this year to reach 400 beds. The project also included the construction of three floors and a vital annex with a total built-up area of 18,000 square meters, in addition to strengthening field connectivity by linking the hospital to Mina Emergency Hospital 1 through a dedicated bridge to ensure seamless and integrated services.

Al-Jalajel also visited Namirah General Hospital, which has a capacity of 114 beds, including intensive care and heatstroke beds. He also toured Namirah Pedestrian Hospital, which accommodates up to 50 beds, and remotely reviewed the vital signs of a pilgrim using smart watch services at King Abdullah Medical City.

The participation of the private sector comes as part of efforts to enhance integration and coordination with government entities within the healthcare system by providing specialized services aimed at boosting operational capacity. This reflects the integrated efforts of the healthcare ecosystem to support rapid response and enable pilgrims to perform their rituals in health and peace of mind.
