Magrabi Health has become the first healthcare network worldwide to receive the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) accreditation as a “Network of Excellence in Ophthalmology,” marking a major recognition of its specialised eye-care services.
The accreditation follows a comprehensive evaluation of Magrabi Health’s healthcare facilities and ophthalmology specialists against international standards covering clinical quality, patient safety, outcomes, operational performance and patient experience.
The assessment also reviewed surgeons’ expertise, multidisciplinary care, consultation services and the availability of advanced ophthalmic infrastructure, equipment and technologies. According to Magrabi Health, meeting the SRC requirements reflects its efforts to standardise clinical practices and provide consistent, high-quality care across its network.

The recognition builds on Magrabi Health’s more than seven decades of experience in ophthalmology, including milestones in corneal transplantation, LASIK and the use of artificial intelligence for early diabetic retinopathy detection.
