Cairo hosted the African Summit for Drug Regulatory Affairs, with the Egyptian Drug Authority actively participating. Dr. Radwa Elmoneer, Head of the Central Administration for Drug Policies and Supervisor of the Central Administration of the Office of the President of the Authority, represented the organization.
In her opening speech, Elmoneer warmly welcomed the conference’s delegations. She highlighted the African continent’s potential for growth and development in pharmaceutical regulation and the need to harmonize drug regulatory procedures while addressing the challenges encountered.
Elmoneer stressed the Egyptian Drug Authority’s significant role in supporting pharmaceutical regulation throughout the continent. She pointed out the importance of nurturing cooperation with African regulatory bodies.
As part of the Egyptian Drug Authority’s involvement in the African Drug Summit, technical experts delivered presentations on critical updates regarding regulatory frameworks and procedures for medical preparations and supplies in Egypt.
This participation aligns with the Authority’s ongoing commitment to strengthening collaboration with African counterparts and reinforcing its regional leadership, supported by international accreditations that exemplify global trust in Egypt’s regulatory system.
