Egyptโs Ministry of Health, and French Development Agency (AFD), and Expertise France have discussed strengthening health cooperation, with a focus on improving primary healthcare services, particularly for women and children.
The discussions reviewed ongoing bilateral projects, funding arrangements, technical support, and coordination mechanisms between the partners.
The parties also explored capacity-building initiatives, including training for medical and nursing staff and expanding the qualification of midwives to strengthen maternal and child health services.

Other priorities included community awareness activities, combating child marriage, upgrading primary healthcare infrastructure, and improving coordination with technical experts and partners.
The sides also agreed on the importance of establishing a unified baseline for performance indicators to track progress, evaluate outcomes, and measure the impact of healthcare projects in line with international best practices.
