Cairo, Egypt: Plans have been announced to develop a new medical complex in Alexandria featuring 35 outpatient clinics, a physiotherapy centre, diagnostic laboratory, imaging centre, and emergency department, alongside expansion into Cairo, Alexandria, and New Alamein.

A new partnership with Conceive IVF Center also aims to strengthen Egypt’s position as a regional fertility tourism hub, targeting 25–30% of the Gulf IVF market by attracting more patients from GCC countries.

Adel Abo El Hassan, Owner and Technical Director of Conceive IVF Fertility Center, said “Egypt is well positioned to increase its share of the regional fertility tourism market, noting that Egyptian IVF centres employ advanced medical technologies and achieve success rates comparable with leading European and US clinics while offering significantly lower treatment costs.”

According to Abo El Hassan, IVF success rates in Egypt range between 60% and 70% for women under the age of 35. The rates decline to 40-50% for women aged 35 to 38, 25-30% for those aged 38 to 40, and 10-17.8% for women between 41 and 43 years old. Success rates fall to between 1% and 5% after the age of 43.

The initiative builds on Egypt’s competitive advantages in assisted reproductive technologies, including advanced medical expertise, AI-assisted laboratory systems, genetic testing, and comparatively lower treatment costs. Officials noted that IVF success rates in Egypt can reach 60–70% for women under 35, helping position the country as a leading destination for fertility treatment.

Further regional expansion is also underway, with new hospital projects planned in Morocco and Pakistan.
