Ibn Battuta Mall by Dubai Retail is participating in the Dubai Mallathon, a citywide fitness initiative encouraging residents and visitors to stay active through walking, running and family-friendly activities during the summer.

As part of the initiative, the mall is hosting daily walking and running sessions from 6am to 10am until September 15. A flagship event on August 30 featured a structured lap-based race across three distances, followed by a community walk and run.

The mall’s indoor layout provides participants with a comfortable setting for physical activity during Dubai’s summer months. The route passes through its six themed courts and includes dedicated walking and running lanes, distance markers and water refill stations.

Participants completing the main race receive finisher medals, while category winners receive gold, silver and bronze medals. Event T-shirts, digital certificates and selected retail offers are also available to participants.

The Dubai Mallathon is being held across seven malls under the “Move In Style” campaign and runs from June 15 to September 15, 2026.

The initiative aims to make physical activity more accessible by transforming familiar community spaces into venues for exercise, encouraging people of different fitness levels to incorporate walking and running into their routines.
