Dubai Health has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) during World Health Expo Dubai, establishing a new framework for collaboration in medical education, clinical training, and research focused on improving healthcare outcomes for underserved populations.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Hanan Al Suwaidi, Deputy CEO and Chief Academic Officer of Dubai Health, and Dr. Luis Pizarro, Executive Director of DNDi, in the presence of French Ambassador Nicolas Niemtchinow.

As part of the collaboration, students from Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) will participate in DNDi-led fieldwork and clinical research programs across Africa and Asia.

  • Pandemic preparedness initiatives

“This partnership represents a meaningful step forward in how we prepare our students and researchers to engage with the world’s most pressing and complex health challenges,” said Dr. Hanan Al Suwaidi.

She added that the collaboration reflects Dubai Health’s commitment to advancing healthcare through impactful learning, discovery, and global health engagement.
