Dubai, UAE: Dubai has become the headquarters of The Pediatric Academy, a new international institution dedicated to advancing pediatric healthcare education through multidisciplinary professional training and evidence-based resources for parents and caregivers.
Founded by pediatric dentist, author, and international educator Dr. Rafif Tayara, the Academy focuses on pediatric dentistry, airway health, sleep-disordered breathing, oral function, early facial growth, interceptive orthodontics, and myofunctional therapy. The initiative aims to encourage collaboration among healthcare professionals while helping families better understand children’s health and development.
The Academy combines a multilingual online education platform with in-person training at its Dubai facility on Jumeira Street. Educational programs are designed for pediatric dentists, orthodontists, pediatricians, ENT specialists, speech and feeding therapists, dental hygienists, myofunctional therapists, and other professionals involved in pediatric care.

In addition to professional education, the Academy provides accessible learning resources for parents on topics including mouth breathing, snoring, sleep quality, oral habits, early dental development, and recognizing when specialist evaluation may be needed.
โChildren do not experience their health in isolated specialties,โ said Dr. Tayara. โA child who breathes through the mouth, sleeps poorly or develops an abnormal oral habit may present different signs to a dentist, pediatrician, ENT specialist, speech therapist or parent. The Pediatric Academy was created to help connect those observations and encourage earlier, better-informed collaboration.โ

Selected professional programs may also offer continuing education credits.
The initiative builds on Dr. Tayara’s nearly two decades of international clinical experience in pediatric dentistry and reflects Dubai’s growing role as a global hub for healthcare education, professional collaboration, and medical innovation.
