Nokia and BeeHealthy have entered into a commercial agreement to introduce network-based verification technology into digital healthcare services used by providers and insurers across Europe and the Middle East.

The collaboration will integrate Nokiaโ€™s Network as Code platform into BeeHealthyโ€™s healthcare applications, replacing traditional SMS-based one-time passwords with automated mobile number verification. The technology is designed to verify users in the background, reducing the need for patients to manually enter codes and enabling faster access to digital healthcare services.

“Digital healthcare depends on making access both simple and secure. By integrating Nokiaโ€™s network-based verification into our platform, we can give customers a faster, more seamless experience while strengthening trust for the providers and insurers we serve.” said, Oskari Eskola, CEO, BeeHealthy

BeeHealthy, owned by European healthcare provider Mehilรคinen, provides a configurable digital platform for healthcare, veterinary and social-care organisations as well as insurers in several European markets and the UAE.

“This collaboration shows how Network as Code turns network capabilities into commercial services that create value across the ecosystem for enterprises, for the operators whose networks power them, and now for a regulated industry like healthcare, which places rigorous demands on security, privacy, and trust. As weโ€™ve shown with similar deployments, this is a model that is equally applicable across other sectors, from finance and mobility to digital commerce.” said, Shkumbin Hamiti, VP, Network Monetization Platform, Nokia

Beyond number verification, the companies are exploring additional network APIs for healthcare applications. These include SIM Swap and Number Recycling checks to help reduce account takeover risks, Location Verification for appointment-related services and KYC Match for identity validation in selected markets.

The partners are also evaluating Quality on Demand capabilities that could support services requiring reliable network performance, including video consultations.

The agreement marks Nokia Network as Codeโ€™s first commercial customer in the healthcare sector.
