Moscow‘s artificial intelligence-driven healthcare initiatives took center stage at the AI for Good Summit 2026, held in Geneva from July 6–11, where experts highlighted the city’s progress in integrating AI into clinical practice and radiology.

“Participation in the summit is an important step in strengthening the international professional network of the Center for Diagnostics and Telemedicine. Such platforms allow us to compare our approaches to the development of radiology and digital services with global practices, as well as build partnerships aimed at improving the quality of medical care,” emphasized Yuri Vasilev, Chief Officer of Radiology at the Moscow Health Care Department and Medical Director of the Center for Diagnostics and Telemedicine.

During the summit, Vasilev discussed AI applications in detecting intracranial hemorrhages, ischemic changes, and multiple sclerosis through advanced neuroimaging. He also emphasized that AI is designed to support not replace physicians by improving diagnostic accuracy and clinical efficiency.

The Moscow delegation also presented its AI integration framework at the World Health Organization (WHO) headquarters, introducing a “maturity matrix” that evaluates AI tools based on technical reliability and clinical performance. International experts praised Moscow’s structured approach to AI standardization, with 28 national standards for AI in healthcare already developed in Russia.
