Dubai, UAE: Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, led a high-level delegation to Dubai to explore healthcare collaboration with Aster DM Healthcare, focusing on medical training, capacity building, and knowledge exchange to strengthen healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
During the visit, the delegation toured several of the group’s hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and innovation centres, gaining insight into advanced clinical services, digital healthcare solutions, robotic rehabilitation, cardiac care, and specialised programs in oncology, neurology, orthopaedics, and women’s and children’s health.

Discussions centred on training nurses, paramedics, and physicians, expanding clinical skills, supporting surgical outreach initiatives, and referring complex cases to tertiary care facilities in the UAE. The visit also highlighted Aster Volunteers, the organisation’s CSR initiative, which delivers mobile medical clinics and maternal healthcare programmes to underserved communities.
Commenting on the visit, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, the Honourable Minister of Health in Nigeria, remarked, “We were delighted to observe Aster DM Healthcare’s strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and specialized care. The integrated healthcare model, along with a focus on training and innovation, offers significant opportunities for collaboration.
