Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Abbott has launched its latest generation FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system in Saudi Arabia, offering people living with diabetes real-time glucose insights and an easier way to manage their condition.

The FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus system features a compact, discreet sensor with an extended 15-day wear time, requiring only six sensors every three months. Designed for people aged two years and older, including pregnant women, the device delivers continuous glucose readings directly to a compatible smartphone app, helping users make informed decisions about food, exercise, and medication.

“As the global leader in CGM, Abbott continues to advance the standard of diabetes care and make it easier for people to manage their condition,” said Mohammad Househ, general manager of Abbottโ€™s diabetes care business in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the Middle East and Northern Africa. “We are proud to introduce in Saudi Arabia FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus*, our most compact and user-friendly sensor yet, offering transformative benefits to help people living with diabetes take actions that can add up to big changes over time.”

The launch comes as Saudi Arabia continues to face one of the world’s highest diabetes prevalence rates, with more than 5 million adults living with the condition. By providing accurate, real-time glucose monitoring, the system aims to improve diabetes management, increase user confidence, and support better long-term health outcomes.

Already used by more than 8 million people across over 60 countries, the FreeStyle Libre portfolio continues to advance diabetes care through user-friendly continuous glucose monitoring technology that empowers individuals to take a more active role in managing their health.
