Abu Dhabiโs Department of Health (DoH) has announced a strategic partnership with Biocom California to establish a life sciences corridor connecting Abu Dhabi and California. The collaboration aims to strengthen ties between biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical technology ecosystems in both regions.
The partnership will enable greater exchange of expertise in ecosystem development, policy insights, and best practices, supporting innovation and the growth of high-value life sciences sectors.
Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi said โThe most successful life sciences ecosystems are those that can connect talent, research, investment and implementation across borders. Through this partnership with Biocom California, we are creating a direct bridge between Abu Dhabiโs intelligent life sciences ecosystem and one of the worldโs leading centres of life sciences innovation. For innovators, researchers, and investors, this creates new opportunities to access Abu Dhabi’s living lab for intelligent life sciences, where scientific discoveries can be translated into real-world impact faster and at scale.โ

It will also provide US-based companies access to Abu Dhabiโs intelligent life sciences ecosystem and its โliving labโ model, where research, validation, and real-world application are integrated within a single environment.
The initiative supports joint events, delegations, and workforce development programmes, reinforcing capacity building as a key pillar of collaboration between both markets.
