Sharjah Health Authority (SHA) has partnered with Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centres to improve access to affordable private healthcare for government employees in Sharjah and their families, with special benefits for elderly residents and People of Determination.
The agreement offers discounted rates across a range of medical services, including support for government employees and their family members aged 65 and above. Uninsured residents with disabilities and other priority community groups can also access reduced-rate services, helping address barriers to private healthcare.
The partnership extends to Medcareโs home healthcare services, including doctor-on-call consultations, home physiotherapy, short-term nursing care, wound care, injections and specialised intravenous (IV) therapy.

“We are pleased to associate with Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centres to bring the most advanced and premium healthcare facilities to the Sharjah government employees with additional benefits,” said Dr Abdul Aziz Saeed Al Mheiri, Chairman of SHA.
The partnership reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen public-private healthcare cooperation in Sharjah and make medical services more accessible to employees, families and vulnerable community groups.
Alisha Moopen, Managing Director and Group CEO of Aster DM Healthcare, said: “Sharjah has been an integral part of our group’s journey in the UAE, and we are proud to deepen our partnership with the SHA through this MoU. Together, we share a commitment to advancing healthcare standards and improving access to quality, patient-centred care for the Sharjah government employees through Medcare’s trusted network of hospitals and clinics.”
