Saudi Arabia and France have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding cooperation across key areas of healthcare and strengthening partnerships between the two countries.
The agreement was signed in Paris by Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim, on behalf of Health Minister Fahad AlJalajel, and France’s Ministry of Health, Families, Autonomy and Persons with Disabilities. The signing took place during the visit of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to France.

The MoU covers several priority areas, including public health, health security, healthcare governance, quality of care, patient safety and emergency preparedness. It also focuses on developing the healthcare workforce and strengthening professional capabilities.
Other areas of cooperation include digital health and artificial intelligence, research and development, innovation, clinical trials, pharmaceutical industries and supply chains. The agreement also aims to encourage investment and health partnerships between the two countries.
The collaboration supports Saudi Arabia’s broader healthcare transformation goals under Vision 2030, while promoting knowledge exchange, innovation, health security and the development of sustainable, high-quality healthcare services.
