King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) has selected ReMedi Health Solutions as the U.S. prime contractor to lead an AI readiness initiative aimed at strengthening artificial intelligence adoption across the hospital. The project is funded through a U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) technical assistance grant awarded to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF).

The initiative will enhance KHCC’s AI governance, implementation planning, and readiness while launching three pilot projects focused on business intelligence, breast cancer diagnostics, and clinical trial screening. The programme is designed to support earlier disease detection, improve clinical decision-making, and streamline administrative and operational workflows.

“Expanding the use of AI will help reduce administrative burdens, support clinical decision-making, provide personalized medicine and an improved experience and enhance KHCC`s research capabilities,” said Dr. Asem Mansour, Chief Executive Officer of KHCC.

As part of the engagement, ReMedi will work with KHCC to identify practical AI applications that integrate with the hospital’s existing electronic health record system. The project also aims to connect the cancer center with U.S. technology providers for future AI solutions.

Sonny Hyare, MD, Chief Executive Officer of ReMedi Health Solutions stated, “AI succeeds in a hospital when it respects how clinicians and operations work together. KHCC has a clear mandate and a complex environment, which is exactly where clinically led execution matters most. Our job is to help the center move from AI interest to AI readiness in a way that holds up at the point of care.”

KHCC, which treats around 60% of Jordan’s cancer cases, said the initiative will strengthen research capabilities, reduce administrative burden, and support the responsible adoption of AI in patient care across the institution.
