M42 and Siemens Healthineers have partnered to explore technology-driven healthcare solutions across the Global South, particularly Africa, with a focus on disease prevention, screening and early diagnosis.

Announced at the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026, the collaboration aims to combine digital health capabilities, artificial intelligence (AI) and medical technology to help healthcare systems identify health risks earlier and improve access to care.

M42 will contribute its digital health expertise through Abu Dhabi Health Data Services, including Malaffi, the emirateโ€™s health information exchange, the Sahatna patient portal and its e-prescription platform. Its capabilities in AI-driven analytics and predictive and personalised care will also support the partnership.

Siemens Healthineers will bring expertise in medical imaging, diagnostics, cancer care and minimally invasive therapies, alongside digital technologies and AI to support patients across the care pathway.

Dimitris Moulavasilis, Group Chief Executive Officer of M42, said: โ€œOne of the ways to judge the success of healthcare transformation is by measuring how much health inequities are reduced and people of all backgrounds benefit. M42 is committed to scaling our innovation and sharing our capabilities so that we can partner with public and private sector organizations to overcome healthcare challenges. Our partnership with Siemens Healthineers reflects this ambition, bringing together two organizations with complementary strengths and a shared commitment to advancing more proactive, accessible and sustainable models of care.โ€

The organisations will explore joint solutions designed to strengthen preventive healthcare, improve screening and enable more timely interventions. The partnership also supports M42โ€™s international expansion and its ambition to extend healthcare innovations developed in Abu Dhabi to emerging markets.

Kareem Shahin, Chief Executive Officer, Digital Health Solutions Platform and Group Chief Digital Officer, M42 said: โ€œThis agreement marks an important step in our collaboration with Siemens Healthineers and reflects the complementary strengths of our two organizations. By connecting population-scale digital health, healthcare data and AI with advanced imaging, diagnostics and medical devices, we can explore new ways to strengthen prevention and screening and help health systems act earlier. Our ambition is to combine our capabilities to drive impact and growth internationally, while continuing to support innovation and preventive care at home.โ€

Vivek Kanade, Managing Director, Siemens Healthineers, Middle East and Africa, said: โ€œBy bringing together our capabilities with M42, we have the opportunity to explore solutions that support earlier diagnosis and treatment and more connected care. Our aim is to help elevate healthcare in the UAE and emerging markets, including Africa, while supporting healthcare providers in improving access, efficiency and clinical excellence across the patient pathway. With our purpose to pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare for everyone, everywhere, sustainably, we see our partnership with M42 as an important step towards expanding access to quality care where it is needed.โ€ย
