RAK College of Nursing (RAKCON) successfully organized a faculty development workshop titled “Advanced Measurement in Research: Ensuring Validity and Reliability” on January 23, 2026.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the research capabilities of nursing educators by introducing advanced tools and methodologies focused on improving research quality and academic impact.
The session was led by Professor Basil Amarneh, Dean of the College of Nursing at Dubai Medical University, who guided participants through key aspects of robust research design, including:
- Measurement instruments
- Scale development
- Psychometric properties
- Data accuracy techniques
The workshop forms part of RAKCON’s ongoing Faculty Development Program, which focuses on promoting academic excellence, evidence-based practice, and innovative research among educators.
Professor Ibrahim Al Faouri, Dean of RAK College of Nursing, praised the workshop’s success and highlighted its importance in enhancing the rigor and relevance of institutional research.
