Cairo: Egypt is taking swift humanitarian action amid the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip. The Egyptian Health Directorate in North Sinai is working tirelessly to create a field hospital near the Gaza border, as reported by Egyptian media on Tuesday.
According to the state flagship newspaper, Al-Ahram, the hospital nears completion and will offer vital medical support to injured Palestinians once Egypt allows their entry. Osama al-Ghandour, the secretary-general of North Sinai governorate, has designated three locations in Sheikh Zuweid and Arish cities in Sinai to accommodate those accompanying the injured.
As the Israeli army widens its air and ground attacks on Gaza the need for medical facilities to care for the injured is more critical than ever.
The conflict in Gaza has tragically claimed the lives of over 9,800 people, including 8,306 Palestinians and more than 1,538 Israelis. Egypt’s establishment of this field hospital near Gaza border spotlights its commitment to providing essential humanitarian aid during these challenging times.
