In a major step forward for sustainable infrastructure, Emirates Extrusion Factory (EEF), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments, has signed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UCS Green Solutions Building and Construction Materials Trading to manufacture and promote the region’s first Green Curtain Wall System with Zero Material Wastage.
Signed during the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ forum, the agreement unites EEF’s advanced manufacturing capabilities with UCS’s innovation in façade and cladding solutions. The product, developed by UCS, is designed to eliminate material waste during installation setting a new benchmark in green building technologies.
Sreekumar Brahmanandan, General Manager and Board Director of Emirates Extrusion Factory, remarked:
“This exclusive partnership is a transformative milestone for both our company and the UAE’s construction sector. As the sole manufacturer of UCS’s zero-waste curtain wall system, we are proud to align local manufacturing with national sustainability goals. This is more than a product; it’s a commitment to building smarter, greener, and with purpose.”
The Green Curtain Wall System offers an innovative, zero-waste design that seamlessly blends aesthetics with environmental performance. It reflects a broader shift toward circular construction practices prioritizing material efficiency, reduced carbon footprint, and sustainable architecture.
Ebrahim Mohammad Abdallah, Managing Director of UCS Green Solutions, added:
“True innovation lies in solving real-world challenges. Construction waste is one of the most pressing environmental issues in our industry. Through this collaboration with Emirates Extrusion, we are scaling a solution that makes sustainable construction both practical and impactful.”
This milestone aligns with the UAE’s strategic goals, including Operation 300bn and the Net Zero by 2050 initiative, as the country continues to lead in sustainable industrial transformation. The partnership also strengthens the local manufacturing ecosystem and supports developers seeking eco-conscious design solutions without compromising structural excellence.
