The UAE’s Joint Operations Command at the Ministry of Defence has revealed plans to construct three desalination plants in Rafah, Gaza Strip, as part of the ‘Gallant Knight 3’ humanitarian operation. President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s directives guide this initiative, designed to provide timely support to the Palestinian people during challenging times.

Each desalination plants boast an impressive production capacity of 200,000 gallons per day, totaling 600,000 gallons collectively. Spotlighting the UAE’s commitment to providing tangible assistance, this substantial output benefits around 300,000 people daily.

The initiative signifies the UAE’s long lasting harmony with the people of Palestine, reflecting a historic stance of support. The Joint Operations Command at the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with prominent entities like the Emirates Red Crescent, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Zayed Charitable Humanitarian Foundation, and various other UAE institutions, officially launched ‘Gallant Knight 3’ on November 5th.

The project not only addresses the immediate needs of the community but also offers opportunities for volunteering. Healthcare professionals registered with the Ministry of Health and Prevention, as well as the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, alongside volunteers associated with the Emirates Red Crescent and other humanitarian entities in the UAE, can actively participate in the initiative.
