H.E Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi: Commemoration Day is a promise and a pledge that the sacrifices of the UAEโ€™s heroes will forever remain in our nationโ€™s record of honour, alive in our hearts and inspiring our loyalty to the homeland

H.E. Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi, Director General of the Emirates Drug Establishment, stressed that Commemoration Day is a promise and a pledge that the sacrifices of the UAEโ€™s sons will forever remain in our nationโ€™s record of glory, alive in our hearts and inspiring us to continue the path of giving and development.

In a statement on Commemoration Day, Al Kaabi said: โ€œOn this day, we proudly and gratefully recall the heroes of the UAE who gave their pure lives in defence of the nation and its dignity. They chose to stand at the front lines, protecting its flag and safeguarding its land, writing with their noble blood chapters of honour and pride that will always bear witness to the UAEโ€™s strength and resilience. Their legacy will remain a source of inspiration for generations to carry forward the journey of service, sacrifice, and nation-building.โ€

She added: โ€œUnder the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, supporting the families of the martyrs has become a national priority, ensuring that the message remains clear: the nation never forgets those who sacrificed their lives for it.

โ€œStanding by the families of the martyrs embodies the loyalty and devotion our heroes planted in our hearts and demonstrates that the UAE continues its journey with confidence, inspired by their legacy of sacrifice and selflessness,โ€ Al Kaabi stated.

It is an occasion that strengthens our unity and cohesion, ensuring our flag continues to rise proudly among nations and that our martyrs remain a beacon guiding us toward a stronger and more prosperous future.โ€

November 30, Commemoration Day

Commemoration Day is a national occasion dedicated to honoring the UAEโ€™s martyrs who sacrificed their lives in military, civil, and humanitarian service to the nation. Declared in 2015 by the late President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in remembrance of Salem Suhail Khamis, the first Emirati soldier to give his life in the line of duty in 1971, the day stands as a national symbol of honor and recognition. It reflects the UAEโ€™s enduring respect, gratitude, and commitment to preserving the legacy of its heroes and strengthening the nationโ€™s unity and resilience.
