Al SHamsi holds board certification from the USA, Canada, and the UK for medical oncology and internal medicine. He is recognized as the only certified Gastrointestinal Oncologist in the UAE. His achievements include his recognition as the first UAE national to be trained in palliative care.
He has served as an Advisor and Member of Governmental Committees at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, Dubai Health Authorities, and the Ministry of Health as a Member of the Steering Committee on National Cancer Control indicators since January 2018.
