Vikas Katoch, Co-founder and CEO of Sidra Healthcare, leadership is about more than strategy and scaling operations. It’s rooted in empathy, balance, and a deep desire to create meaningful change. Outside his demanding professional world, Vikas finds clarity in nature, connection in small acts of kindness, and inspiration in the values of leaders who walk the talk.
If given the chance, Vikas would spend a day with Ratan Tata. “He’s an icon of integrity, innovation, and purpose-driven leadership,” he shares. “I’d want to learn how he balances empathy with business acumen and how his decisions consistently serve both people and progress. A conversation with him about leadership, legacy, and using influence for good would be invaluable.”
Away from high-level meetings and business plans, it’s the simplest moments that bring him joy. “Seeing happiness on someone’s face, whether it’s from relief, recovery, or a small act of care, always makes me smile. It reminds me why I do what I do,” he says. Whether it’s offering a listening ear or helping someone through a tough time, those everyday interactions anchor his sense of purpose.
When it comes to recharging after a long week, Vikas leans into the outdoors and quality time. “Simple, relaxing activities with family and friends help me unwind,” he says. “Travel, especially to mountains or cold, nature-filled places, is my reset button. But given time constraints, staycations have become a great alternative.”
Not surprisingly, Vikas prefers outdoor activities. “I love being in nature, hiking through forests or snowy mountain trails. It clears the mind, resets the body, and often sparks my most creative thoughts,” he explains. Living in a bustling city like Dubai, he acknowledges that such moments require effort, but insists they are worth seeking. “It’s about finding peace wherever you are.”
If he weren’t leading Sidra Healthcare, Vikas would still be close to his passion, working at the intersection of healthcare and technology. “I’d be building digital health solutions or AI-driven diagnostics to bridge care gaps,” he says. “Healthcare shouldn’t be confined to clinics or hospitals. It should be accessible and affordable to everyone, everywhere.”
Through purpose, connection, and the quiet power of nature, Vikas Katoch proves that impactful leadership starts with being grounded in what truly matters.
