The prestigious Dr. Kwang Tae Kim Grand Hospital Award at the International Hospital Federation (IHF) Awards 2023 has honored Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), one of the UAE’s largest hospitals for serious and complex care. SSMC, a joint-venture partnership between Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) and Mayo Clinic, has received recognition for its commitment to service excellence and patient care.

The IHF presents the award, the highest honor for an individual hospital, to the organization that demonstrates excellence across five dimensions of health care delivery – health service quality, patient experience, clinical outcomes, health equity, cost efficiency, and workforce well-being.
