Saudi Arabia celebrated a significant milestone with the inauguration of its first oncology pharmaceutical plant in Sudair City. This plant is part of a trio of new factories inaugurated in the pharmaceutical and food industries, bolstering the Kingdom’s commitment to these sectors.
 
Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, officially opened the three new factories in Sudair City for Industry and Businesses. The oncology pharmaceutical plant, managed by Sudair Pharma Company, focuses on producing highly toxic drugs and various medications. The two other facilities include the General Specialty Pharmaceutical plant and the Gulf Catering Food Factory.
 
Covering an expansive area of 95,000 square meters, these state-of-the-art plants represent a total investment of approximately 236 million riyals. Their primary objective is to meet domestic demand while also venturing into regional and global markets.
 
Sudair Industrial and Business City, established in 2009, spans 64 million square meters, with a designated upgraded area covering 16.9 million square meters. It hosts 350 factories operating across diverse sectors, including food production, pharmaceuticals, medical industries, electronics, and more. This industrial hub is a vital center for innovation and growth in various industries, contributing to the nation’s industrial progress.
