Riyadh, Saudi Arabia- An expatriate doctor working at a private healthcare facility in Riyadh was arrested last week for violating the Law of Practicing Healthcare Professions and the Anti-Cybercrime Law, according to the Saudi Ministry of Health.
The doctor reportedly shared unprofessional and offensive behavior on social media, prompting swift action by the Ministry, which has since referred the case to the relevant security authorities for further investigation.
In a public statement, the Ministry reiterated its commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in the healthcare sector, stating that it will not tolerate behavior that undermines patient dignity or public trust in medical professionals.
