Ramadan 2025: Omanโ€™s MERA sets crescent moon sighting date for Ramadan 1446 AH

The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) in the Sultanate of Oman has officially scheduled the crescent moon sighting for the holy month of Ramadan 1446 AH. The observation will take place on the evening of Friday, the 29th of Shaโ€™ban 1446 AH, which corresponds to February 28, 2025.

As part of its commitment to community engagement in religious affairs, the ministry invites the public to participate in the sighting and report their observations to the relevant authorities. Individuals who witness the crescent moon can contact the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs or the Waliโ€™s office through the following numbers: 24644070, 24644037, 24694400, 24644015, 24644004, or 24695551.
