Dr Adil Hashim Al Kindi is a distinguished senior consultant in cardiothoracic surgery with over 20 years of specialized experience and more than 24 years in the medical field. For the past decade, he has served as the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH), University Medical City, Sultanate of Oman, playing a pivotal role in advancing surgical excellence, patient care, and medical education.

A graduate of leading institutions in Oman, Canada, and the United States, Dr. Al Kindi trained at SQUH, McGill University, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and Cleveland Clinic, gaining expertise in complex cardiothoracic procedures. His surgical repertoire spans cardiac, thoracic, and vascular disciplines, with over 4,000 cases in cardiac, vascular, open thoracic, and minimally invasive thoracic surgeries (VATS).

Renowned for his contributions to thoracic oncology, he serves as the lead consultant in the multidisciplinary thoracic surgical oncology team, managing complex lung and mediastinal tumors. His expertise includes VATS, advanced lung resections, and chest wall reconstructions. He is also recognized for his proficiency in thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) and open descending thoracic aortic procedures, offering innovative surgical solutions.

In the field of structural heart disease, Dr. Al Kindi has been at the forefront of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), having performed over 400 cases across multiple access routes. His leadership extends to extracorporeal life support (ECMO), where he manages complex cardiac and respiratory failure cases.
