Princess Sara bint Mashhoor bin Abdulaziz, the wife of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, has generously donated ten million riyals to the Support Fund for Children with Type 1 Diabetes, implemented by the Health Endowment Fund. The donation aims to empower affected children by ensuring access to the latest care technologies and treatment options, improving their quality of life and relieving the burden on their families. This noble contribution reflects Her Royal Highness’s longstanding humanitarian commitment to supporting health and charitable initiatives dedicated to the most vulnerable groups.

His Excellency the Minister of Health and Chairman of the Health Endowment Fund, Fahad bin Abdulrahman AlJalajel, expressed his profound gratitude on behalf of the Fund and all its staff to Her Royal Highness Princess Sara bint Mashhoor for her generous support. He praised her continued giving and humanitarian initiatives, which embody the deeply rooted values of the Saudi community and reflect the spirit of solidarity and compassion upheld by the leadership.
He affirmed that this generous support will have a significant impact on enhancing healthcare services for children living with diabetes and will serve as a catalyst for strengthening community partnerships and advancing charitable health initiatives in alignment with the Fund’s mission to improve quality of life and promote sustainable development in the health sector.
The Health Endowment Fund noted that Princess Sara’s initiative will contribute to the provision of modern insulin pumps, one of the most advanced treatment options enabling children with type 1 diabetes to live their daily lives with confidence and safety, improving their health outcomes and supporting families in managing the condition.
The Support Fund for Children with Type 1 Diabetes comes as an extension of the Fund’s ongoing efforts to assist the most vulnerable groups through specialized awareness, therapeutic, and technological programs, in active partnership with the health and nonprofit sectors. These efforts have enabled the Fund to deliver healthcare services to more than 3,000 beneficiaries across the Kingdom through 26 associations and 26 specialized projects, while donations in 2024 exceeded 72 million riyals, demonstrating strong community trust in the Fund’s role and the lasting impact of its humanitarian and health initiatives.
