CDC data published as of October 22 recorded 4,588 measles cases across the United States in 2026, including 1,327 in Pennsylvania. The difference between the state and national figures reflects different reporting dates and updates.
The CDC has previously announced plans to provide additional support to Pennsylvania to help investigate and respond to the outbreak. The rising case numbers highlight the importance of continued disease surveillance and public health measures to limit further transmission.
