March 2026- Omanโs Ministry of Health has announced a voluntary recall of a number of Danone product batches as part of its regulatory oversight, in full coordination with the company.
The decision follows recent scientific and international developments related to Cereulide, a toxin produced by the bacterium Bacillus cereus. It also takes into account the scientific opinion issued by the European Food Safety Authority on February 2, 2026, which established the acute reference dose for the substance in infants.
According to the Ministry, the move is precautionary and aligned with the latest scientific updates. Authorities clarified that the recall does not indicate confirmed health risks to consumers but reflects a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
