February 2024- Novartis announced that Sloan Simpson has been appointed Global Head of Investor Relations, reporting to CFO Harry Kirsch, effective April 1, 2024. Sloan succeeds Samir Shah, a respected leader, who significantly contributed to Novartis investor relations excellence for over a decade.

In her new role, Sloan will continue to advance the Novartis equity story, lead the team responsible for engaging with the global investment community, and work closely with the Executive Committee of Novartis.

Sloan joined Novartis in 2015 and has worked across Investor Relations and Corporate Strategy in the US and Switzerland. She has held the position of North America Head of Investor Relations since 2019. Prior to Novartis, Sloan worked in consulting, primarily on financial communications and investor relations in the healthcare industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
