The 14th Middle East Health Insurance Conference commenced in Muscat, emphasizing the management of health insurance risks and the prevention of fraud and misuse of health benefits. This two-day event marks the fourth year of collaboration between the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and the Middle East Insurance Group, with H E Sultan bin Salem al Habsi, Minister of Finance, as the chief guest.

The conference convenes regional and international experts to address critical issues impacting insurance and health services, particularly the management of health insurance risks and the reduction of fraud and misuse of benefits. Health insurance has shown significant growth in Oman, representing 36% of total insurance premiums in H1 2023, highlighting its crucial role in the insurance landscape. The CMA’s commitment to providing high-quality healthcare is evident, with reduced prices for unified health insurance policies for expatriate workers in 2023, enhancing affordability.
