According to Lilly Gulf, translating scientific discoveries into better patient outcomes requires more than innovation alone. Healthcare systems need policies that support progress, evidence-based decision-making and partnerships that help evaluate and adopt new approaches responsibly.
Leena Aziz, Senior Director and Head of Corporate and Government Affairs, Lilly Gulf (UAE, Kuwait and Qatar), said: โFor 150 years, Lilly has been driven by the belief that science can change what is possible for patients. Today, the opportunity before us is extraordinary, but scientific progress cannot deliver its full value in isolation. We need policies that enable innovation, health systems that are ready to adopt it, and partnerships that bring together the right capabilities around shared health priorities. Abu Dhabi has demonstrated significant ambition in building an environment where those elements can come together, and we look forward to contributing to that dialogue.โ
The companyโs participation builds on its engagement with UAE healthcare stakeholders, including initiatives involving centres of excellence in neurodegenerative disease care and AI-enabled obesity and cardiometabolic care models tailored to Abu Dhabiโs population.
