Applicants can indicate two to three preferred specialties, ranked according to preference. Placements remain subject to specialty availability, training capacity and applicable requirements set by Romanian authorities. As the regional support partner, Thumbay Group will assist candidates throughout the process, including pre-residency orientation, admissions, visa and documentation support, Romanian language preparation where required, career counselling and ongoing student assistance.
The programme offers medical graduates in the UAE and wider Gulf region a structured route to European postgraduate specialty training and potential international career opportunities, subject to individual countriesโ recognition requirements.
The collaboration strengthens academic ties between the UAE and Romania while supporting the development of a highly skilled healthcare workforce through international medical education and specialist training.
