InComm Healthcare is partnering with UK HealthCare to support the Food as Health Program, an initiative focused on improving health outcomes for Kentuckians facing food insecurity and chronic conditions.
Through the collaboration, InComm Healthcare is providing transactional infrastructure using its OTC Network® restricted-spend healthy foods cards. The cards enable eligible participants to purchase approved nutritious food items, including fresh produce, whole grains, and other nutrient-dense products at participating retailers.
The programme works with healthcare payers including Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Bluegrass Care Clinic, Passport, and Golisano Children’s at UK to support individuals managing chronic conditions such as diabetes.
